Having a blast styling this indie film, THE PRODUCTIVE LIE for the past few months! 'The Productive Lie' (On The Grind Films) is a story about love, lies, and the pursuit of a dream.
Working with such an amazing group of talent, creativity, and drive has been a huge blessing to me and I am so grateful for the new friendships and business relationships that we've developed!!
Thank you God for opening doors!!

On Saturday, we held our 1st Design Class for Kids and it was a blast!!! Students chose to
design + create pillows, so after a brief introduction and a few safety
rules, they sketched their designs, selected fabric and materials, and
began learning how to operate a sewing machine, bringing their fabulous custom pillows to life!
Here are a few behind the scenes pics from Saturday's class!

Students received lunch and a starter gift, which included a sketch
book, pencils, measuring tape, and a beginner's sewing kit.

Check out a few behind the scenes pics and some notes on how I created this look!
I started with a box of eyeglasses that had been donated to Georgia Lions Lighthouse foundation...
Popped out the lenses and discarded the frames, then drilled a hole into each lens for sewing. (I counted about 300 lenses) ...
Then I spray painted all lenses with a fluorescent green paint, added a 2nd coat of gold metallic to some, and let them dry for 24 hours. I constructed the base garment in a hot pink satin fabric while the lenses were drying. Starting from the bottom, I began hand sewing each lens onto the garment, overlapping each one to hide the strings. I added a gold studded belt to finish the look.
... with my model, Dr. Jill Wells!
Sheree Whitfield, Housewives of Atlanta, served as one of the judges for the student designer competition.
This was an amazing experience & I look forward to doing it all over again next year!! xoxo
